My stance on this is that with white, you will almost always be aware that the bezel is there, especially while watching videos, while the black one will disappear and you can focus on the show. The only time the white one will do that is when reading ebooks, so if that's your primary reason for getting an Ipad, it might be okay, but even then I'd go with black.

If you're going to spend that much for what is basically a laptop without flash bred with the iPod touch...you may as well get an actual laptop. To answer your actual question, the major difference between the Ipad and the touch (aside from size) is that you can create documents, charts, and presentations on the Ipad...of course you have to pay to download the programs that allow you to do so, but that's apple for you. Granted, you'll have to pay for the equivelent of these programs too if you go for a laptop. Of course, with a laptop, you're far less likely to have to deal with your stupid contraption shutting off and losing all your work because it gets too hot. :| Sooo....get a friggin laptop.

I was wondering what the amount of titles are available for the Ipad currently and how many books will be available probably later in the year. Answer: There are thousands upon thousands of books to choose from on apple's iBooks store, but you also have the option of downloading amazon's kindle and a couple of other book apps. The only problem I have with it is the price. You can't exactly use a coupon. There are some free books to choose from, like classics and stuff that no one really reads a lot unless it is for class, and you can also download a free sample of a book before purchasing it. I'm kinda on the fense about how I feel about apple's iBooks. I really prefer it to others, but the price is what gets me, but if you are an avid reader like me, you can't really go wrong. And almost all publishing companies have books available on iBooks, but as for the exact number... I really don't know it isn't listed on iBooks. But a rough estimate is around 12-14 thousand
