Who do you think will be the nominees for Best actor at the academy awards this year?
A lot of actors are getting hype but we only have 5 slots. That said, I think that this is proof that the Academy should put the acting nominations to 10 slots instead of 5 because there were definitley several actors who got snubbed out of nominees last year (Ryan Reynolds, Buried, Ryan Gosling, Blue Valentine, among others)
Anyways the ones with the most hype seem to be
George Clooney- The Descendants
Leonardo Dicaprio- J. Edgar
Jean dujardin- The Artist
Michael Fassbender- Shame
Ryan Gosling- Drive
Joseph Gordon Levitt- 50/50
Gary Oldman- Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy

It doesnt have to be from my list.
Answer: The only actor from Deathly Hallows that has a shot at a nomination would be alan Rickman for Best Supporting Actor- films like this don't win in the acting categories. (see: LOTR)

Those three will probably get a nod- J.Edgar seems like Oscar bait even though IMO it looks boring, Clooney is in Ides of March and the Descendants, Gosling by all accounts is excellent in Drive though i haven't seen it yet- and he probably should have gotten a nomination last year for Blue Valentine which was spectacular.
I'd love to see Gary Oldman get nominated, as well as Owen Wilson- sure he was just doing his usual thing, but Midnight In Paris was super charming and a lot of that was thanks to him.
Alan Rickman's performance in Hallows was also pretty special, so he at least deserves a nomination

Votre amour vers chacun autre et la vie est exactement que Paris me représente - si merci de lêtre un tel exemple merveilleux de cela. Jespère honnêtement à un jour peut vivre un vie un tel le vôtre, où quelquun maime à jamais de retour,où nous travaillons à vivre, ne pas vivre pour travailler, comme tant les Américains font. Luniversité est dure en récompensant. Columbia est belle. Cest grand être parmi les autres étudiants qui prennent vraiment le plaisir dans lérudition. Mes cours sont durs. Je prends la Chimie, le Calcul, la Littérature, cours a appelé « La Philosophie et Psychologie dExpérience Humaine ». La dernière classe est intéressante, les autres classes ne sont pas aussi grande que jaurais souhaité. Mais de Chimie de cours ne sera jamais aussi intéresser quun cours dhistoire dart.
Puisque vous mavez donné une telle suggestion merveilleuse pour voir le Minuit dAllen Ligneux à Paris, jaimerais recommander le film le plus merveilleux que jai vu. Je ne pense pas honnêtement quun meilleur film a été fait. Il sappelé LArtiste - un film silencieux, en noir sur blanc et français par Michel Hazanavicus. Lacteur principal, (maintenant mon la plupart dacteur bien-aimé), est Jean dujardin,lactrice principale est Berenice Bejo. Jean dujardin a gagné la récompense pour le meilleur acteur pour ce film dans ces ans Cannes le Festival du film. Si quand vous obtenez un hasard pour le voir, je suis sûr que vous laimerez ! !

College is hard by rewarding. Columbia is beautiful. It is great to be among other students who really take pleasure in learning. My courses are hard. I am taking Chemistry, Calculus, Literature, and a class called "The Philosophy and Psychology of Human Experience." The latter class is interesting, the other classes are not as great as I would have wished. But of course Chemistry will never be as interesting as an art history class.
Since you gave me such a wonderful suggestion to see Woody Allens Midnight in Paris, I would like to recommend the most wonderful film I have seen. I honestly do not think a better film has been made. It is called The Artist - a French black-and-white silent film by Michel Hazanavicus. The main actor, (now my most beloved actor), is Jean dujardin, and the leading actress is Berenice Bejo. Jean dujardin won the award for best actor for this film in this years Cannes Film Festival. So when you get a chance to see it, I am sure that you will love it!!

I really liked it! Jean dujardin is excellent and seems to be having lots of fun! I didn’t enjoy the very beginning of the film but that didn’t last long. I needed time for the story to clarify a little and also time to get used to the different style compared to what you’re used to seeing (especially for humor). I had difficulty understanding certain gags, probably because of the cultural difference between here and France. But all the same, I laughed till I cried several times! I found the movie entertaining, fun, and several scenes are really memorable! Basically, a good movie! Long live Jean dujardin!

Does anyone think Joseph Gordon-Levitt has a shot at winning Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy?
I was really moved by Joseph Gordon-Levitts performance in 50/50, but from what I understand, Jean dujardin from The Artist is the favorite to win that category. I went to see that film just to see if he really put out a better performance than JGL, and you might disagree with me, but I dont think he did. I thought The Artist was a cute movie, I definitely enjoyed it. But I think it is BECAUSE it was a light-hearted fun time at the movies that it is getting so much attention. I think if this had actually been released in the silent film era, it would not have gotten nearly as much praise. Dujardin, similar to the movie itself, is only getting so much attention because it is so rare to see a film like this one in this day in age. I did not think that there was really anything that special about his performance, and I certainly dont think it was nearly as moving as Joseph Gordon-Levitts.
At the Golden Globes, I mean.
Answer: Ah hard to say.....I would like it if Joseph won but i think if Jean loses, he would lose to Owen Wilson. But JGL's performance was really moving and hit close to home.
