Hi! For my french project I have to make a menu for a cafe. I was thinking that I could maybe make a quaint little place called "La Parisienne" and serve the following:

oops! i forgot to add that im trying to keep things vegetarian. i guess its a little silly, but i dont eat meat so i dont want to put it on the menu :)
Answer: You have some good things going on in there. If you were to switch to desserts, I would make it a french bakery and add desserts like pots de creme and eclairs, as well as croquembouche, as well as savory pastries as well, like tarts and such. I would also add Cherries Jubilee.
Now, I would say keep it a restaurant personally. Your menu has pretty good foods on it, but I would add more entres, you are very lacking in that area! I would suggest adding a few gnocchi dishes such as gnocchi mornay and such. I may suggest taking off lasagne and ratatouille (because they are more italian). Also, if it is a cafe, you may want to add more brunchy/breakfasty items other than just crepes and quiche, such as eggs benedict. One final remark: I would also serve savory and breakfasty soufflés, because it would not be hard to do that if you had it in your dessert, and furthermore, soufflé is not just a dessert.

I have to write a short 200 word story about my favourite food. I picked crepes and wrote the story, but Im positive there are 1001 grammar and mistakes that I cant pick up myself. Could you help me and tell me what needs to be fixed?

Je pense la meilleur sorte sont fait avec des bananes et Nutella ou seulement sucre glace. Le recette plus célèbre sont Crêpes Suzette. Le crêpes Suzette a été inventer par inadvertance en Paris, 1895. Un jeune homme qui s’appelle Henri Carpentier a découvert la recette. Henri a été un serveur assistant et il a fait un plat spéciale pour le prince. Le plat qu’il a prépare s’enflammer ! Il a eu peur parce qu’il a pense le plat a été en ruines. Il a goute le crêpe et celui a été très délicieuse ! Au début, Henri avait nomme la plat crêpe Princesse mais un fille qui s’appelé Suzette a proteste. Elle a demande a Henri « Sil vous plait, nommez la plat Crêpes Suzette ? » et il a fait cela.
I especially need help with when to use celui and cela because I dont think I placed them right.

Answer: I'm afraid that your response from Yahoo France is far too typical. Unfortunately, a lot of people from France are mindbogglingly rude to anyone who isn't from there which partly explains why so few tourists feel welcome there.

As for the question itself, I understood it but am unfamiliar with the word "inadvertance". Do you mean that they were were invented by accident? If so, I would suggest you write, "...les crepes ont été inventés accidentellement..." or "...les crepes ont ete inventes par accident." If you want to still use the word for "inadvertently", you could write, "...les crepes ont etes inventes par distraction."
Your second sentence reads, "Crêpes sont très mince pate frit". You are missing a definite article there so I would write, "Les crepes sont des pate frit tres minces." Remember that, in French, the noun precedes any adjectives, so "pate frit" would be the noun and "tres minces" would be the adjectives.
You could probably join, "...Le recette plus célèbre sont Crêpes Suzette. Le crêpes Suzette a été inventer par inadvertance en Paris, 1895..." into one sentence. So, try, "...Le recette plus célèbre sont Crêpes Suzette qui été inventer par accident en Paris en 1895." Same with, "...Un jeune homme qui s’appelle Henri Carpentier a découvert la recette. Henri a été un serveur assistant et il a fait un plat spéciale pour le prince..." It's a little too stilted. Change it to read, "...Le jeune homme, Henri Carpentier a découvert la recette. Il a été un serveur assistant et il a fait un plat spéciale pour le prince." In place of "Il a goute le crepe...", try, "...Il a essayé le crepe..."

Creton
Ingredients:
450 gGround pork
1Finely chopped onion
250 mlMilk
2 slicesBread
1/8 tspGround black pepper
1/8 tspGround cloves
1/8 tspGround nutmeg
1/8 tspGround ginger
Prep:
1. Cut the edge of the bread and discard
2. Cut the rest of the bread into cubes and combine with milk in a saucepan until absorbed
3. Add the spices and ground pork
4. Cook at low heat, stirring occasionally, untill all the liquid is evaporated
5. Put in a bowl and refrigerate overnight
Cook's Notes
Excellent on crakers or on sliced French bread.

Creton à Maman
Ingredients:
1 lb ground pork
1-1 1/2 liter milk (fatter the better but no more than Homo milk)
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1-2 fresh chives, finely chopped or 1 tablespoon dried chives
1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)
1 teaspoon pepper (to taste)
Prep:
In a cooking pot, place the ground pork and pour the milk over till the pork won't drink no more (no longer absorbs). Add about a inch to that of more milk.
Add the onion, chives, salt and pepper.
Cook at medium heat for 1.5hrs-2hrs.
Once cooked, add more salt and pepper if desired.
Pour into a appropriate size glass dish.
